So it’s been almost two months since Kel or I posted anything here. I’m often surprised when I check on the site meter and find that people still come here often because they’re referred by a search engine when looking up information on dog vomit fungus and Bush Goliath tomatoes. Thanks, random people, for stopping by! I wish we had more to entertain you with! We don’t really have a lot going on these days, [Continue . . .]
I don’t really have anything fascinating to write about , so I’m just gonna pound out something totally pointless here just so I can stay in the habit of writing. 01. Right now, I’m listening to the sounds of a mouse on the verge of its death. We had been hearing a mouse in here for a couple months now, but each time I heard it, against my better judgment (and experience with mice), Kel [Continue . . .]
As usual, I’ve been slow to update this blog. Growing season has ended here, in part because Kel’s parents came to visit us and we wanted to clean up the balcony, so since nothing ended up being very productive this year, we decided to just give up early and trash all of our growth. I used the super-close macro settings on all of these, and after I took the shots off [Continue . . .]
Summer harvest. Pffft. If only I could put into words the tone of sarcasm, mixed with an eyeroll and a frowny smirk, I feel when I write the words “summer harvest.” I took the photo above on August 30, which is pretty much the end of the summer. So far, this tiny handful of tomatoes and the few other ones I’ve pictured here in the last few months are all I’ve been able to [Continue . . .]
Well, as usual, I’ve been too lazy to update here, and Kel is even less into it than I am, but I figured that since this is the last day of the month, I ought to post something here just so I can say that, yes, I did write at least one entry a month on this site. Since I don’t have a lot to talk about, I’m gonna post some pictures of my garden [Continue . . .]
